Buh-bye, Chippendales. Channing Tatum is bringing Magic Mike to Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, the hunk — with the help of some adorable puppies — announced in an amazing video with Cosmopolitan.com on Wednesday, May 4.
In the award-worthy two-minute-long clip, the Magic Mike star — whose life the 2012 film of the same title is based upon — descends a staircase in a home full of sexy, shirtless men before telling viewers: “We’re going to start Magic Mike Live in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock March 2017. God knows we have enough gentlemen's clubs in the world, so let’s start the first gentle-ladies' club — or, maybe not so gentle. Depends on what you’re into.”
The best part about it all? Channing is letting fans decide how they want it.
“Leave your comments and let us know what you want, and we're going to create it for you,” the 36-year-old actor promises.
And according to a press release, this is not a joke.
“Currently anticipated to open for preview performances in March 2017, ‘Magic Mike’ Live Las Vegas will recreate the mythic Club Domina with a sizzling 360-degree dance and acrobatic strip tease spectacular, guaranteed to bring on the heat,” the press release states.
Tatum won’t actually be stripping for attendees, but he promises that he’ll be more than hands on.
“Magic Mike has been a special and very personal project for me, and this show is a natural extension of that,” Tatum said in a statement. “So while I won’t be on stage as Mike, ‘Magic Mike’ Live Las Vegas is my vision and I’m looking forward to spending a lot of time in Las Vegas creating something that will give women what they really want.”
