Chris Brown Enters Rehab, Kisses Karrueche Tran in Photo
Karrueche Tran is supporting her man. Chris Brown voluntarily checked himself into rehab on Tuesday, Oct. 29, and that same day his on-again, off-again model girlfriend posted a sweet photo of the two on Instagram.
"Always & Forever," Tran captioned the closeup snapshot of the two sharing a kiss on the lips.
The 24-year-old singer's rep confirmed in a statement to Us Weekly on Tuesday that Brown is seeking help to deal with some personal issues. "Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility," the statement said. "His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point."
Brown was released from jail on Monday, Oct. 28, after being arrested for an alleged assault in Washington, D.C., on Sunday. The police report claimed the Grammy-winning singer got into an altercation with another man outside the W Hotel, and allegedly made a homophobic remark before punching him in the face. His charge was reduced to a misdemeanor on Monday, and he is due back in court Nov. 24.
Brown is still on probation for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. The "Don't Judge Me" singer ended his year-long relationship with Tran in October 2012 as he rekindled his sometimes-romantic relationship with Rihanna. But he and Tran have recently been spotted together again, and they went on a date night to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood earlier this month. (Tran and Rihanna famously traded barbs back and forth via Twitter.)
"Honestly, all I want is happiness. There was a lot of dysfunction and negativity. I just want to be happy," the model told Rolling Out magazine in January 2013 of her controversial relationship with Brown. "I hope people can learn from my story. I want to be remembered as someone who remained positive through such a negative situation. Regardless of what you're put through or what is going on in your life, keep a positive spirit. That will help you get through it."
