Mr. and Mrs. Golden Globe! Despite some stiff competition from George Clooney and wife Amal Alamuddin and Joshua Jackson and girlfriend Diane Kruger, Chris Pratt and his wife Anna Faris stole the show at the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Jan. 11, unofficially taking home the title of the awards show’s cutest couple.
Parks and Recreation star Pratt, 35, and Mom actress Faris, 38, presented to the crowd at the star-studded soirée. They joked about professional conflicts in their Hollywood union, as Faris began, “People don’t know this but we have a mixed marriage. I’m CBS, he’s NBC.” Pratt then chimed in, “But we plan to raise our children HBO.”
Despite their differences in television networks, Pratt and Faris looked as happy as ever as they walked the red carpet at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
A newly minted A-list hottie after bulking up for his role in the global box office smash Guardians of the Galaxy, Pratt looked hunky in a black Tom Ford tuxedo with a black silk bow tie. He added a white pocket square, and wore his wedding ring, which he sported for the first time in July 2009 when he and Faris tied the knot.
His bride looked gorgeous in a red carpet-ready gown by Reem Acra. The floor-length, sleeveless dress sparkled with embellishment over the nude fabric. Faris’ blonde hair was pulled back into a low bun, and she wore Jimmy Choo heels and carried a silver Judith Leiber beaded clutch.
The happy pair, who met while filming 2007’s Take Me Home Tonight, kissed, laughed, and stayed close to one another as they posed for pictures, clearly having a ball together.
Pratt proposed to the House Bunny actress in 2008, and they went on to exchange vows in Bali. In August 2012, the stars started a family with the birth of their son Jack, now 2.
“We’re both feeling just so grateful for the people that love us, for having careers in Hollywood and hopefully for having some blueberry farm… I have a fantasy of a blueberry farm and fat ponies one day,” Faris joked to Entertainment Tonight at the awards show.
“We got lucky that we’re both in the business cause we understand that aspect of it,” Pratt added. “There are sacrifices you make, but, I mean, God, they’re so worth it.”
