Christina Aguilera has just one word to say about her fellow Voice judges Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s new relationship: “Awesome!”

The Grammy winner, who is set to return to the NBC singing competition next season, told Us Weekly on Thursday that she approves of the show’s “first love connection.”

“I’ve known Gwen for a really long time,” she told Us at Verizon’s HopeLine campaign event in L.A. supporting domestic violence prevention and awareness. “We went to each others’ kids birthday parties, we share the same management, and Blake I know now from the show.”

As Us confirmed exclusively earlier this month, Stefani, 46, and Shelton, 39, recently started dating moths after their headline-making divorces: Stefani’s from Gavin Rossdale in August, and Shelton’s from Miranda Lambert in July.

“The two of them are both great people,” Aguilera, 34, continued. “Gwen's such a great mother and a hard-working mother too! It's not easy to juggle The Voice and music and children — it takes a strong woman. And obviously I'm always in support of that. And I do know what it's like to go through a divorce myself, and it's tough!”

“I keep telling them both to stay strong and have fun!” said the mom of two, who split with husband Jordan Bratman in 2010. “Divorce and life is hard enough! If you find someone who makes you happy, you gotta go for it. So they deserve it and they deserve to be happy!”

Aguilera, who is engaged to Matt Rutler, the father of her baby girl Summer Rain, told Us that she feels strongly about supporting the HopeLine campaign because of incidents in her own childhood. “It's a subject that really hits home with me because I've always been pretty vocal and open about my own experiences in witnessing domestic violence in the home and neighboring homes around me, so it was something that was pretty constant in my younger upbringing,” she said. “That's why for me, it's so important for me to speak my truth and helping others to find theirs and to find their own hope in a hopeless situation.”
