Christopher McDonald is not so happy these days. The actor, 58, who is best known for his role as rival golfer Shooter McGavin in the 1996 Adam Sandler film Happy Gilmore, was arrested for a DWI early in the morning on Oct. 16.
The arrest took place in Wilmington, North Carolina, where he is currently filming the movie The Squeeze.
TMZ first reported the arrest and reported that law enforcement claimed McDonald's blood alcohol level was .15, which is almost double the legal limit.
The veteran actor married wife Lupe Gidley in 1992 and the couple has four children.
Apart from his role in the comedic smash, McDonald is known for parts in 2000's Requiem for a Dream and the 1991 classic Thelma & Louise.
He recently played Harry Daugherty on the critically acclaimed HBO drama Boardwalk Empire and appeared in two episodes of the ABC comedy Happy Endings.
