Model behavior! For Kaia Gerber, late-night partying is not an option. Parents Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber keep a protective eye on their teenage daughter by enforcing an 11 p.m. curfew, a source reveals exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly.
“Kaia hangs out with older girls,” the friend tells Us of the 15-year-old IMG model. “So Cindy is understandably cautious and protective.”
When the high schooler headed to pal Kendall Jenner‘s 21st birthday celebration at West Hollywood’s Delilah restaurant November 2, former supermodel Crawford, 50, chaperoned.
“Cindy insists someone close to the Gerber family goes out with Kaia,” says the insider.
Though Crawford and her Casamigos Tequila cofounder husband, 54, establish rules, the parents allow Kaia and her 17-year-old brother, Presley, freedom to make some choices.
“I can give good advice,” Illinois-native Crawford told Us at L.A.’s Heart Foundation Honors event in May. “We just want our kids to be happy.”
In fact, the source notes the 11 p.m. deadline does have wiggle room: “Kaia can try to call home and get it changed to midnight!”
Even with the curfew, the genetically blessed family does enjoy wild nights out together. On October 28, the foursome attended the Casamigos Tequila Halloween Party in Beverly Hills, for which they all dressed as glam punk rockers.
Crawford slipped into a hand-painted leather jacket by Connor Tingley and had celebrity stylist Peter Savic add orange and yellow extensions to her brunette mane, sweeping all of her strands to the side. Makeup artist Anthony Nguyen added even more edge with a splash of smoky gray eyeshadow and lightning-bolt eyeliner.
Kaia donned a hot pink half-mullet and exaggerated winged eyeliner and black lipstick. Like his wife, Rande also wore a Connor Tingley–painted topper. He had his hair assembled in a series of blue spikes and swept on bright red eyeshadow to complement it. Presley lined his brown eyes with loads of black eyeliner.
