Colton Dixon, Former ‘American Idol’ Finalist, Marries Annie Coggeshall: Photos

Newlyweds in the new year! Former American Idol finalist Colton Dixon married Annie Coggeshall in Nashville Friday, January 8.

The singer, 24, shared a sweet snap on Instagram with his new bride Saturday, January 9.

"Married my best friend last night," Dixon wrote. "I love you @anniecog. What a great night with family and friends!"

He also took to Twitter to write about his big night.

"So… I most definitely did not ugly cry 4 1/2 times last night… Nope," he wrote. "#coltannwedding."

Dixon was a contestant on the long-running Fox reality show during its 11th season in 2012.

The bride looked gorgeous in a strapless wedding gown, complete with a ruffled skirt.

Dixon's sister Schyler, who also appeared on Idol in 2012, shared snaps from the wedding as well.

Coggeshall, 27, and Dixon got engaged last September at Walt Disney World in Florida.
