Courteney Cox may be single, but she's not necessarily ready to mingle.
The 47-year-old Cougar Town star spoke to Howard Stern on his Sirius XM radio show Wednesday, where Cox admitted she's been dateless since separating with husband David Arquette in October 2011.
"No guy's asked me out. I'm not saying I'm not ready to have a make-out session, but it just makes me nervous," Cox said. "I don't like to go out in general."
"I have sexual feelings, and there's ways to deal with that," she explained. "It's time for me to get out there. It's not easy to meet people. They don't call me."
Cox previously vowed to remain abstinent throughout their separation, saying: "I'm holding to it. I've not had a man since David."
The actress and mom to Coco, 7, admitted she did kiss "one guy" but declined to reveal his name. When Stern, 58, asked if was "that guy from the show" — presumably Josh Hopkins — a coy Cox replied, "Maybe."
For Cox, it's been both quite an adjustment living without Arquette, 40.
"There's a huge part of my life with David, no question, but I feel like right now our relationship is probably better than it would be if we lived together," she said. "It's definitely better than it used to be. We communicate better, we have much more respect for each other, we listen. It's hard."
Cox added that Arquette has been encouraging her to join the singles scene. "He says to me, 'Courteney, it's time, get out there.' He's comfortable with whoever that would be with."
