DJ AM's autopsy was completed Saturday afternoon, but the results are still inconclusive, TMZ.com reports.
According to the New York City Medical Examiner's office, further tests are necessary to determine the official cause of death. Those toxicology tests could take several weeks to complete.
The autopsy came one day after the 36-year-old DJ was found dead in his NYC apartment. A crack pipe and prescription pills were also found in the apartment, according to the Associated Press.
A law enforcement official, who spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the investigation was ongoing, did not release any other information about the medication.
