Ed Sheeran is one of the good guys.
The British singer and songwriter, 23, granted a dying Dublin teen, Triona Priestley, her last wish only moments before she passed away.
Priestley, a huge fan of Sheeran as well as poetry, suffered from cystic fibrosis for years and, just last week, the end looked inevitable. Some of her friends quickly began a Twitter campaign, using the hashtag #songfortri.
Sheeran, known for his own songs such as "The A Team" (and for his famous friend Taylor Swift), ended up calling Priestley at her hospital just before lunch on Tuesday. He sang the 15-year-old her favorite song, his upbeat "Little Bird."

Priestley's brother, Colm, explained what happened during the call in an interview with Ireland's The Independent.ie.
"Triona slipped into a sleep as Ed was singing to her and passed away shortly afterwards," he told the newspaper. "So Ed Sheeran sang her to sleep."
He added, "We would like to thank everyone who played their part in making that happen."
Sheeran posted a simple tribute to Priestley on Twitter.
