Ed Sheeran’s got a new lady on his arm! The soulful singer-songwriter spent Labor Day weekend in Las Vegas — and by the looks of it, he’s no longer riding solo.
A source close to Sheeran confirms to Us that the “Thinking Out Loud” singer and his high school pal Cherry Seaborn are officially dating. The pair sparked romance rumors after they were spotted together around NYC several times in the past few weeks.
On Monday, Sept. 7, the couple was spotted at Wet Republic inside the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, where they hung out with Sheeran’s good pal Calvin Harris, who was spinning a set at the resort.
“What a crew at Wet Republic today,” the DJ captioned a photo that he posted to Instagram, which showed him, Sheeran, Seaborn, and another pal goofing off for the camera.
Sheeran, 24, last dated foodie Athina Andrelos for about 14 months before the pair called it quits earlier this year.
Asked about his relationship status by Capital London’s Breakfast Show in July, Sheeran downplayed the action in his love life.
“It’s actually non-existent at the moment,” he told the show host. “I’m not in anything. I’m not in anything, no. My relationship ended and then I went the day after it ended to the Middle East, Asia, South America, I was just gone and my mind had no time to just settle with it. So I was just working, working, working.”
Sheeran has most recently been traveling throughout the States on tour with Christina Perri and Jamie Lawson. “And I haven’t had time to just sit back and re-evaluate my personal life,” he continued. “Because I don’t really have a personal life!”
