Nothing says fresh faces like fresh friendships.
Cover girls Lupita Nyong'o, Kate Mara, Elle Fanning, Elizabeth Olsen, and Emilia Clarke were the five stars honored at Marie Claire's Fresh Faces Party at the Soho House in West Hollywood on Tuesday. Lupita, Kate, and Elle hung out inside the bash (Olsen and Clarke were not able to attend due to filming commitments), but since it was the eve of her 16th birthday, it was Fanning who truly held court.
"It's sweet 16, so it's a big deal," the "Maleficent" star smiled, while talking to reporters on the red carpet. "I went back to school on Monday, so I'll be in school tomorrow — which is kind of exciting too, because your friends will bring you cupcakes."
Elle also celebrated the big 1-6 earlier this year, just so sister Dakota could be in attendance.
"I had a dinner before, because I wanted my sister to be in town so we had something a couple months ago, but tomorrow I'll probably just eat cake and go out to eat," she laughed.
It's hard to believe this normal girl (who is starring in "Maleficent" with Angelina Jolie, out next month) could be so down to earth. Case in point: not arguing her parents about no learner's permit.
"I don't have my permit. You have to study and all this stuff," she explained. "I'm like, 'When's the time to learn?' But I want to!"
Still… practice, hasn't made perfect.
"No [I haven't been practicing]" Elle confessed. "My sister [hasn't taught me]. She lives in New York, so she just walks everywhere."
Plenty of celebs stopped by Tuesday's soiree. One beauty who has been making the headlines? Nikki Reed.
The "Twilight" actress stepped out for the first time since announcing her split from husband Paul McDonald. Although the wedding rings were off, the brunette beauty seemed content talking with friends inside the private party.
Other celebs in attendance: Jordana Brewster, Katie Lowes, Sarah Hyland, Jaimie Alexander, Mena Suvari, Ari Graynor, Troian Bellisario, and Jenna Elfman.
