Pregnancy certainly agrees with Evan Rachel Wood. The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman actress, who is expecting her first child with husband Jamie Bell later this year, looked radiant on the red carpet at Vanity Fair's TriBeCa Film Festival party on Tuesday, April 16 — one of only a few public events she has attended since she announced her baby news in January.
Wearing an elegant black halter-style dress cinched with a belt just above her bump, the 25-year-old mom-to-be smiled demurely as she cradled her growing belly. She paired her simple frock with pointy-toed black Christian Louboutins and minimal jewelry.
Prepping for motherhood clearly hasn't cramped Wood's style — but her social life is another story. "I love that I am going to a cocktail party tonight, but I can't have any cocktails," she quipped on Twitter before heading out for the evening. "It's like a birthday with no cake."

Us Weekly first broke the news of the actress' baby joy back in January. "The couple is thrilled," a rep for the star and her British-born beau said at the time.
Since then, Wood herself has been sharing her pregnancy ups and downs via Twitter. After the tragic Boston Marathon bombings on Monday, April 15, she wrote: "Clutching my belly a little tighter today." And on Tuesday, as she made her way through the traffic in New York City, she added: "Suddenly I am very aware of how fast and crazy the taxis are. #beingamom."
The Mildred Pierce actress and her husband, 27, met seven years ago on the set of Green Day's "Wake Me Up When September Ends" video. They reunited in 2011, shortly after Wood broke off her engagement to rocker Marilyn Manson, and tied the knot last October in a surprise ceremony in California.
"Two years ago, I took a chance and ran into someone's arms without looking back," she tweeted on April 8. "I haven't regretted a day since. I love you Jamie Bell. xo."
