It's all in the name! Fergie and Josh Duhamel welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on Thursday, Aug. 29, in L.A. The couple named their son Axl Jack, which is most likely a huge homage to one of Fergie's favorite bands of all-time — Guns 'N Roses, famously fronted by Axl Rose.

"Fergie is a huge Guns 'N Roses fan – one of her career highlights has been performing and recording with Slash – so Axl makes perfect sense," a source close to the singer tells Us Weekly.

The rocker also gushed about her love for the band just one year after her fall 2009 nuptials with Duhamel. "Some of my biggest vocal idols are rock and roll. I mean Sebastian Bach, Vince Neil, Axl Rose, Robert Plant," Fergie exclusively told Us in September 2010. "These are people that I have emulated vocally."

She added: "I saw Gun 'N Roses and Metallica when I was in high school. I have been a fan of theirs for years. [The Black Eyed Peas] actually got to perform with them in Australia. We became friends with them because we always went to their after parties, too."

Indeed, the first-time mom has also collaborated with Guns 'N Roses lead guitarist and close friend Slash, 48, on several occasions and even appeared in his 2010 "Beautiful Dangerous" music video. "I wanted to stalk him — just a normal day at the office!" she joked to Us at the time.
