Thanks, but no thanks! Gigi Hadid revealed during a Periscope chat on Monday, Sept. 21, that she turned down now-boyfriend Joe Jonas seven years ago.
“We met at the Grammys when I was 13 years old,” Hadid, 20, revealed. "And he asked me to a baseball game, and I said, 'No.'"
She had a good reason, though. "I was so nervous; I literally didn’t even know what it meant to hang out with a boy," the rising model continued of her beau, 26. "And also, Grammys are on a Sunday, and I didn’t want to tell him that I had school the next day, so I was like, 'No, maybe next time.’”
Jonas, who was at the awards show with his brothers and then-bandmates Kevin and Nick, played it cool and gave Hadid’s mom, Yolanda Foster, his phone number. “[He] wrote it on a piece of paper and gave it to my mom,” David Foster’s stepdaughter concluded. “And then we’ve been friends ever since. Except now. We’re more than friends, obvs.”
Hadid first stepped out with Jonas in May just days after splitting from longtime boyfriend Cody Simpson.
