I read that Murphy took 109 vicodin in 11 days. That doesn't sound very safe to me.

why so quick to sayy drugs??? Because of his past ..Flu like symptoms do not mean drugs. So what if he had a problem in the past. That does not make it the cause of death. lets wait untill the full report. For God sakes people he had a family andfreinds that loved him. A little respect! Iloved his movies and yes he was my first "star crush". He was just like the rest of us trying to make something of himself. So he made some bad choices .... who hasn't? I hope that he is at peace and his family ca find the peace they deserve at this time.

Some people just don't understand what it's like to be addicted. Even I don't really. R.I.P. Corey Haim. You got caught up in the wrong things. But no one has the right to judge you. Most of us, if put in your position, would've been dead a long time ago. God bless you. Rest in peace, angel.

really america? nothing but a selfish waste. it's ridiculous how people blame drugs. drugs are a substance...the MAN was the one who choose to do the drugs and then enjoyed speaking about how he knew drugs were going to take his life and he was ok with that. obviously no one should feel sad for him because he knew exactly what he was doing and what was going to happen to him for doing it. it's time to grow up and handle your issues like adults. stop turning to drugs and/or alcohol to "get away" from your problems...it's ridiculous and i'm sick of hearing all about it already.

NO "duh". Brittany did NOT overdose. Google the story NEW YORK DAILY NEWS among elsewhere. cnn, msnbc. Severe anemia left actress Brittany Murphy weakened and vulnerable to pneumonia and the prescription medications she was using to treat it. The report stated Murphy's menstrual period contributed to her anemia and left her in a weakened state and vulnerable to infection. It also contributed the effects that a host of drugs, including hydrocodone and acetaminophen, had on the 32-year-old actress. Coroner's officials had already concluded Murphy's death was accidental, but likely preventable. She died after collapsing in her Hollywood Hills home on Dec. 20. The report notes that the medications found in Murphy's system were consistent with treatment of a cold or respiratory infection. Murphy's mother and husband had reported the actress was ill with flu-like symptoms in the days before her death. An autopsy found NO EVIDENCE that Murphy abused drugs. We ALL take these medications for illness. She just happened to be in a state where her body coudnt handle it . Google it. Lets keep our mouths shut until Haims autopsy.

This is so very sad. No matter how he died, it hurts that he is gone. I feel like I grew up with Corey along with others in the 80s. It was a huge hurt to lose River 15 years ago and now Corey. I enjoyed all of his work, the Two Coreys being more recent. God Bless him and his dear Mom Judy.

A sad lost.once again some one so young and talented taken away too soon. who cares the reason why he was taken away. The sad thing is his gone.why speak bad of some one who can not speak for their self. The best thing to do is if you can't be nice keep your mouth close.

  • March 10, 2010 - 7:46pm Monica Smith Bowman

I am extremly sad about Corey Haim. He was an awesome actor. I loved him in Lost Boys. It's upsetting to know that too many actors and actresses are turning to drugs, anyone for that matter. My prayers goes out to his family and friends and fans. So sad. Im very sorry for your loss. Stay in prayer!!!

  • March 10, 2010 - 7:46pm Jen

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Losing someone you love is horrible no matter what the circumstances. Rest in Peace Corey-you will be missed. To those comparing him to Brittany Murphy and Casey Johnson-Why not wait until after the autopsy results come in before making assumptions. People thought drugs killed both girls and it turned out that Brittany dies from pneumonia and presription drugs and Casey died from compications from diabetes. Have some respect for Corey's family; they have enough to deal with right now and don't need to read about what assumptions are being made regarding Corey's death

  • March 10, 2010 - 7:35pm Monique

Oh my god that is sooo sad! I LOVED Corey Haim as a teenager- I even had a "Corey Haim Hall of Fame" book that I made for him. I have all his movies on Video Cassette and DVDs. I can't believe it- he was such a lovely soul. Rest in Peace Corey Haim- you will be missed.

  • March 10, 2010 - 7:29pm Rick

It is sad to see how many of the comments pass judgment on a troubled soul who was, self-admittedly, battling the demons of addiction. Until you are there, you have no right to pass judgment on another in the grips of an often deadly situation. My prayers go out to Corey, his family and those whom he touched. May he find the peace in his final resting that alluded him in life. And may his passing not be in vain, perhaps it may save one life. Rest in eternal peace, Corey.

March 10, 2010 - 4:13pm SO SAD TO HEAR THIS, RIP "LES ANDERSON" Says: Didn't ANYONE learn their lesson with Brittany Murphy to just keep your mouths shut . You all made FOOLS out of yourselves with her didn't you? i'm still laughing at the posts between here OMG and YOUTUBE. Those who said SHE overdosed were proven WRONG. NO illegal drugs were found. *************************************** No illegal drugs were found but she did overdose. Just because you get the pills by prescription doesn't mean that you can't take too many of them and kill yourself.
