Hulk Hogan: Sex Tape Release Has "Devastated Me"
Hulk Hogan is reeling over the recent release of an old sex tape.
The 59-year-old WWE star visited Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb on the TODAY show Tuesday and opened up about how upset he is over the release of the intimate tape, which was filmed at a friend's house during the collapse of his marriage to Linda Hogan.
"First off, I had no idea there was a camera in the room. It was at a very, very low point," he told the co-hosts. "I'm not making excuses. I'm accountable. I was the guy. I was there. I made the choice."
"It was at a really low point in my life when I was in a previous marriage when things were bottomed out completely," Hogan (real name: Terry Bollea) explained. "I was with some friends and I made a wrong choice. And now, all of a sudden, it surfaces over six years later, and it's just appalling. It's totally flipped my new life . . . upside down."
The tape was leaked on website late last week and showed Hogan having sex with an unidentified woman. Hogan split from his wife Linda in 2007 after 24 years of marriage. He remarried in December 2010 to Jennifer McDaniel.
"My new wife Jennifer is rattled, to say the least," he said of the scandal. "She's not part of this media life or anything, and it's something that's devastated me and totally . . . I've never been through anything on something on this level."
But the professional wrestler is threatening to sue websites who share the footage. "For me, I'm going full-blown to find out who did this to me and why and what's the motive," he said. "I had no idea someone would put a camera in a room."
