Glee's Jane Lynch has confirmed that she is engaged.

In January, the New York Times’ Carpetbagger blog reported that she and longtime girlfriend, psychologist Lara Embry, were tying the knot in May. But her rep shot down the report, telling Access Hollywood that “Jane is currently in a relationship and there is no related news to that relationship.”

But at a Glee event Saturday at the Grove in Los Angeles, Lynch, 49, told UsMagazine.com the reports are correct.

"Yes, yes, it's true!" she told Us.

She said she doesn't know when they'll wed.

"We don't have any plans at all yet," she added. "But I have a ring and everything. We're very happy and very excited!"

PHOTOS: Who got engaged last year?

And what can we expect from her character, cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, on the new season of Glee, which premieres this week?

"Olivia Newton John visits and we do the Physical video together,'" she told Us. "I sing 'Let's Get Physical.'"

Congrats to Jane & her fiance! I'm not too sure how I feel about the God of the bible. But Jesus was a great man/God and he was all about love & acceptance. Further, the bible has been translated way too many times to be relied upon as anyone's true word in a literal sense. You might get close to it if you can read and understand the original languages in which it was written. Even then, too many men's hands were on it before it got to that point.

Historian, I strongly urge you to go read Ezekial 16.49. it says "Sodom's sins were pride, gluttony and laziness, while the poor and needy suffered outside her door. 50. she was proud and committed detestable sins, so I wiped her out, as you have seen.' so, you can tell me I'm wrong all day till the cows come home..that's something you are going to have to take up with God, not me. it's His word, not mine :) and what's more Historian, John 3.16 says 'for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.' that does not mean if you can hypothesize the best on what you think it means, because in the end, we weren't there, and the bible very clearly states in Ezekial WHY sodom was destroyed. I think people who want to judge and hate and try and make themselves look righteous are the ones that want to declare it was destroyed for homosexuality. He loves His creation, and we all have walks we have to walk in life, and I do not think it's right for me, a heterosexual, to push my beliefs on anyone, nor as a christian do I think it is right to misrepresent God or His word. period. you can believe what it is all day long, does not make you right, and because my bible says what it says, I am gonna follow it, not the unjustified hate.

Hey Jaz - 3 responses in a row is spamming. 2 within a whole thread is not. Take your own advice. And no, people keeping me in their thoughts is not prayer. Good try though. NEXT.

To Carla: THANK YOU. That is the most rational and loving Christian response I have seen in a long time. God Bless you.

Non-Judging Christian But The Bible Speaks For Itself God did NOT destroy Sodom or Gomorrah because of homosexuality. I'm sorry but the Bible I read says in Ezekial 16 that they were destroyed because of Pride, laziness and gluttony, and while the poor and needy suffered, they did nothing but commit detestable sins (pride, laziness and gluttony). a sin is a sin, and to point out one over another IS judging. you can be discerning, but no one has a right to tell another person how to live, and I truly believe that God will love and accept any homosexual who willingly accepts Him and Jesus.

Michelle 8:49 pm - Don't call yourself close minded. You know what is out there and choose your own path. Not agreeing or condoning behavior you don't agree with does not make one close minded. Never insult yourself because of hostile bullies!

  • April 12, 2010 - 2:08pm Jaz

FYI not all heteros marry their partners. They sign legal documents and like it just fine. No divorce. No probs.

  • April 12, 2010 - 2:05pm Jaz

Sam, quit spamming. You say your friends helped more than prayer ever did. Maybe the friends who helped you were a result of praying. Ever think of that? God ain't gonna come down in your face - he sends people.

  • April 12, 2010 - 2:01pm patty

Michelle - Closed minded does not mean you have morals. It means your are a bigot and not accepting of other not like you. Not something I'd be proud of. It seems all the self proclaimed "Christians" feel they were put here to judge everyone around them. Well a true "Christian" knows that there's only one judge, and they're not it. Jane is hilarious as the therapist on Two and a Half Men. I hope her and Lara all the best. Congrats.

To those of you who believe that homosexuals are not born that way, you are absolutely ignorant. It is a scientific fact that they are born that way. You just don't want to believe that, because that would mean that you would have to accept it, and you don't want to accept it. Who wakes up one day, and decides that they want to be disowned by their families, discriminated against, and quite possibly, the s h i t kicked out of them? I have a gay nephew, who is very religious. It was very difficult for him to accept his own sexuality. He was extremely conflicted, but he finally came to terms with it, and is happy. I am sure he would not have chosen it if it were a choice. Use some common sense.

I find it fascinating that when one does not share the same opinion as others, this disintegrates into some kind of war. This is a platform for people to voice their thoughts whether they agree or disagree so to those of you who insist on putting down others for their opinions, "SH2AME ON YOU".

Jane, congrats to you and your fiance. To the Bible Thumpers, I am a Christian and I invite you to read John 3:17...thank you.

Let the gays and lesbians marry, and be subject to the marriage penalty tax. Then they'll wonder why they tried so hard.

  • April 12, 2010 - 11:42am Sam

Anonymous @ 10:16am: none of us that dont believe in the whole bible thumper bs you all make up need your prayers. My lifes tragedies and dramas have people that keep me in their thoughts and surprisingly THAT helps me get through it more than any prayer has. At least a thought is listened to. Dont chastize us with that "ill pray for you" sh*t.

  • April 12, 2010 - 10:37am Caligari

Seriously, Who gives a sh*t what your crappy old book says?! Even *if* there is a God, the Bible doesn't start out "Dear Diary," so who cares what a bunch of morons who couldn't find their way out of a desert have to say? These are people who hadn't yet figured out it was a bad idea to cr*p in the same place they got their water! Eating pork and shellfish is a "sin" according to them as is having two kinds of fiber in cloth! Do you follow that? No? Then STFU!
