Jen Aniston's Movie Doesn't Open at No. 1

Jen Aniston's latest big screen effort The Bounty Hunter failed to open at No. 1 over the weekend.
Dogged by bad reviews (one critic called it "brainless)," the comedy, costarring Gerard Butler, earned $21 million and was beat by Alice In Wonderland, which made an estimated $34.5 million, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid, which earned an estimated $21.8 million.

Repo Men (an estimated $2.2 million) and She's Out of My League (an estimated $1.9 million) rounded out the top five.

Umm HELLO. (Laughing Hysterically) Does any of Jennifer Aniston's movies debut at number 1? Come on give me a break this woman is over 40, never could act and her only real claim to fame was marrying Brad Pitt. I hate that unnewsworthy mags like US, People, etc. always have Jen on the front cover and pitt(no pun intended) up against Angelina Jolie who has some serious acting chops. There is no comparsion.
Good God . . . is it any surprise that her movie isn't number 1? She's mediocre at best, always cast in the same role. Cute, but certainly not Oscar worthy.

Well thats what happens when you can't act in movies..Stick to sitcoms. Maybe she needs to be cast in a movie as a real Young stars mother!!
Why should anyone be shocked the movie did not debut at no 1. I am surprised it even made that amount of money. When will JA stop playing the same stupid parts over and over.............enough already. She is not a strong actress clearly and so relies on comedy which she has done to death. Take time out and come back with a challenging film, might even win you best actress
Yeah, BH was not the best idea. She may have better luck with The Baster (which has been renamed The Switch) since it's got Jason Bateman who's very funny and a good box office draw. But the fact remains, she cannot open a film on her own, so her pick of roles will always be limited to this type of fare. She'll never get to compete for those juicy dramas that typically go to Winslet, Jolie, Streep, Blanchett, Julianne Moore, Julia Roberts, Kidman, Charlize Theron and Emily Watson. Her range just isn't deep enough. TV was and is her best medium. She also does much better in ensembles.

I like Jenn. She's beautiful. I'm just tired of seeing her in the same "Rachel Green" type characters. It would be nice to see her challenge herself with a drama. As far as her movies go, I always wait until they come out on DVD. A movie has to DARN good for me to spend theater prices on it. Jenn's movies rarely are.

Jens biggest fans are the ones who DON'T LIKE HER! They make more comments than her TRUE fans, and her name is always coming from their traps. If you don't like someone why do you waste your time with comments. She's not going anywhere anytime soon, she has movies to make...as you can see. :))))
She is all about PHOTO OPS so that they appear to be this big happy family! Angelina is so desperate to keep Brad with her, that she is using the children as a weapon to keep him from walking out on her! She is at her ropes end when it comes to finding ways to keep Brad from leaving her in the dust. Brad is deperate himself to find a way to seperate himself from the control of Angelina and her manipulations. He loves his children and knows she stands no chance of keeping him away from the 3 children they have together, but is worried about what is going to happen with the children that are not biologically his. Angelina is threatening to cut him off from them and to make sure that HE NEVER SEES THEM if he so much as thinks of even traveling without her. Angie is so scared that Brad, like others, will walk away as soon as they can find an out and never look back. Who can blame them? She is not what she appears to be, and Brad, like so many others before him, found out too late that this woman is wicked. Oh the tangles web we weave, when first we practice to deceive! Brad, oh Brad, you make it really hard to feel for you, but not all hope is gone. Angelina can't keep your children away from you, and all hope is not lost, you will find a way to rid yourself of this fraud you have made the mother of your desperatly wanted children.

I love Jennifer but I alway get a kick out of reading the jealous rants bashing Jennifer, she is above you in every way, why don't you go to Angie's daughters page and say how ok it is that Shiloh is wearing a gun holster, Angie is a hypocrite she speaks out about violence but yet glorifies it in all her movies and with her kids, she is a horrible human being.
I love this movie and this was not a bomb, it made over 20 million and by today's Hollywood standards that is great for a opening weekend.

Personally, I don't think she has the acting chops to play the lead in any movie. The quality and success of her movies seems to bear that out. She is a decent sit-com actress, when surrounded by a great cast. She's attractive, but not amazingly so, and she is getting older. I see nothing to rave about. Also, she seems to have been playing the "victim" card for a little too long now. Move on, Jen....everyone else has.
