Ain’t It Funny? Jennifer Lopez has made her personal life an open book … literally. The “Booty” singer, 45, has penned a new tell-all memoir, True Love. In it, she recounts the first time she met singer and third husband Marc Anthony back in 1998.
The future spouses met backstage when Anthony was performing on Broadway in The Capeman. Lopez claims Anthony’s first words to her were, “One day you’re going to be my wife.”
While his words proved prophetic, Lopez dated several other men before tying the knot with Anthony in 2004. In 1998, the pop diva divorced her first husband Ojani Noa. She then moved on to rapper and producer P. Diddy before marrying backup dancer Cris Judd in 2001 for less than nine months before divorcing. Her most famous romance, however, came in 2002, when she fell in love with and got engaged to actor Ben Affleck, sparking the nickname “Bennifer.”
Anthony’s marriage prediction finally came true in 2004 after Lopez split from the Gone Girl star, 42. The pair dated for less than six months before tying the knot in June 2004 and welcoming twins Max and Emme in 2008. Then in 2011 the couple announced their split before finalizing their divorce three years later in June 2014.
Clearly Lopez loves love! In fact, she writes in her memoir that throughout her career she has recorded more than 60 songs about love or with the word “love” in the title.
