Ain't no mountain high enough for Jessica Biel!

The actress, 27, successfully reached the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro Tuesday after a grueling week-long climb. Situated in northeastern Tanzania, Mt. Kilimanjaro is the highest peak on the African continent at 19,341 feet.

Did Jessica make 2009's best-dressed list?

The notable crew joining her included actor Emile Hirsch, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen star Isabel Lucas, politician Elizabeth Gore, musicians Lupe Fiasco, Santigold and Kenna. Kenna led the all-star expedition, dubbed "Summit on the Summit: Kilimanajaro," announced in Sept. 2009 to raise money and awareness of the global clean water crisis.

real mountain climbing is when you hammer stakes and spikes into unsure rocks and hoist yourself up over vertical inclines with your gloved hands and cables. The Kilimanjaro climb is just a nature trail hike. Anybody of moderate fitness can do it and I recommend it. The scenery is stunning. (my family prepared ourselves for the climb by jogging for two months until school was out for the summer)

Not to downplay this accomplishment but my father and I and two of my sisters also made this climb (as do a lot of tourists to the region. Safaris get boring after a while so the tour book says "try a mountain climb"). He was an old man and I was just a kid and my sisters were just girls and we all made it. We may have taken a different path than what she took but I found the climb rather easy if a bit too time consuming. The african guys... .well you know. To them it was like climbing stairs with 7 steps. This swedish couple were complaining the whole way up and the african guys were just like "weak europeans" in their facial expressions. But people have died on that mountain too. What makes the climb hard is the cold not the climb (if you ask me) As for "global warming". What a farce!!!!! I believe a freaken astral object will crash into earth and kill living things long before.... this mythical "global warming" thing.

Jessica Biel is originally from Ely Minnesota - get your facts straight Rose - she ended up settling in Boulder. Minnesota never gets the credit.

I don't normally care for Jessica Biel because she always looks like such a sourpuss. However, I give her and the crew that climbed Kilimnajaro HUGE props. Not only is the climb an incredible physical feat, but to do it for such a worthy cause speaks volumes to their characters. Totally selfless!! Great job!!

The girl is from Boulder, Colorado and grew up hiking. She has always been fit and hiking a mountain is not an odd thing for her.

Um, there were alot of other people besides Jessica Biel on this expedition. She shouldn't be getting all the headlines and all the credit.
