Jessica Simpson Talks About Bumping Into Nick Lachey

Last Thursday, Jessica Simpson bumped into ex Nick Lachey and his girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo during a date with Eric Johnson at Hollywood hotspot The Red O.
Asked about the run-in Monday at the Women's Conference in Long Beach, Calif., she told USA Today: "He was at the same restaurant. I didn't speak to him."

Simpson, 30, was much more vocal about former NFL star Johnson, 31, her current squeeze.
"He definitely makes me very happy," she said. "He brings out a lot of light in me and makes me very comfortable being who I am. It's nice to be with somebody who praises you for the right reasons." See more pics of Jessica at the Women's Conference.

But she isn't ready to walk down the aisle again. "Wedding? Right now I'm focused on my precious nephew and godson," she said.
In addition to USA Today, Simpson also was interviewed by host Maria Shriver.

23I don't see how people say things that are completely inaccurate i.e., claiming that Nick is living of Jessica's money. Are people forgetting that at the time they got married Nick was the bigger star and was earning MORE than her. He asked her to sign a prenup & SHE REFUSED per her father's advice. Therefore, if they divorced Jessica would be able to take half of his money. Jessica and her father exploited the marriage to make money(Newlyweds show, Nick & Jessica Variety Hour, Jessica's book on planning her wedding to Nick and all the other methods used to make money off the marriage). In the course of all this Jessica became a bigger celebrity than Nick and was earning more money by the time their marriage ended. So her refusing to sign the prenup came back to bite her and Nick was entitled to half of her earnings when they divorced....If you refuse to sign a prenup and you want all money to be shared then it stays that way when you get divorced...what's fair is fair.

People...Lets not forget that NICK had his own career and own money before he met Jess...If anyone rode anybody's coat-tails, it was Jess off his success before the whole Newlyweds movement. They've moved on...so should everyone else.

I thought this article was about her bumping into Nick. That was only one phrase that she said about it and not an interesting one. I could care less about the rest.
She's not fat in any way, she's normal and I like that. She knows she doesn't have to be 105 lbs. and she gets so much crap for it. She can be annoying at times and such but I think her heart is in the right place and it takes a strong person to not fall prey to the negative things people say. Go Jess!!
BTW - it's MANDA, not Amanda. You can't assume. This is the first I've heard her comment anything on Nick or Vanessa. I'm pretty sure she's moved on... you on the other hand have not.

Those of you who think he was the best for her...dream on. Keep living in the past. She obviously doesn't agree with you and only made a comment because she was asked. He's an irrelevant, washed-up has-been and his girlfriend is a never-will-be. Jessica has moved on, and so should you. And I agree with the person who said they're living off her money; it was reported that he got half her earnings after the divorce.
Kristen....you have a good point there and I guess we get a mindset about people and anytime I see her face I think of her dog that she had left out and the coyotes ate...It has nothing to do with the way she looks but that's my mindset on her and that 's what I'll always see when I see her face is her dog ripped apart because of her irresponsibility...and just the fact that she's appears to be one of those women who think they can't exist without a man...her identity is "the current flavor"

Nick seems to be much happier, i don't think it bothered him a bit to see her again but Jessica, well she's on here so it must have bothered her in some way. He was the best thing that ever happened to her.
