You better belieb it. Jimmy Kimmel found some inspiration for Saturday’s overly hyped Mayweather-Pacquiao fight from none other than Justin Bieber.
The talk show host, 47, joined the entourage of boxer Manny Pacquiao, walking behind the competitor as he entered the ring. Kimmel mimicked Bieber’s style for the big event, wearing two gold chains, a brimmed hat, and an athletic jacket over a black T-shirt embellished with the Pac-Man logo preparing to eat three tiny heads of Pacquiao’s competition, Floyd Mayweather.
Kimmel sported said getup as an homage to Bieber’s relationship with Mayweather, 38. The singer, 21, has long been a supporter of the controversial fighter, regularly appearing in his entourage before big fights.
While Pacquiao, 36, eventually fell to Mayweather in the underwhelming showdown, Kimmel still took joy in the fact that he got his chance to be a stand-in Bieber.
“Disappointing result but what a fight,” Kimmel tweeted in the early hours of Sunday, May 3. “Thank you for making me your Bieber @MannyPacquiao – you are a champion.”
Bieber himself was in attendance for the bout, cheering on Mayweather as he emerged victorious. “Congrats on 48-0 @floydmayweather,” he tweeted, adding a hashtag reading “#moneymayweather” in support of the boxer, who took home more than $100 million from his win.
