Joan Collins Explains Jen Aniston Diss

Former Dynasty star Joan Collins is explaining why she dissed Jennifer Aniston.
In Britain's Daily Mail, she recently sniped that Angelina Jolie is more "beautiful" than Aniston, 41. Aniston's rep said the Switch star was "aware" of Collins' comments but felt there was "no need to engage with that nonsense."

Collins, 77, tells UsMagazine.com she didn't mean to offend the actress.
"The bottom line is that I talked about several actresses, among them Catherine Zeta-Jones, Scarlett Johansson and Megan Fox," she told Us Saturday at the Carousel Of Hope Gala in Beverly Hills. "Unfortunately, everybody got cut out [except Aniston and Jolie]. Typical. That's the way it goes."

21Didn't Joan Collins say that Jennifer Aniston was cute? She said Angelina was beautiful (or something to that effect). She never said she was ugly. Jennifer's spokes person or whoever shouldn't have commented at all, that wouldn've been classier than to imply that what Joan Collins said was "nonsense".

OMG. I've never seen such sniping among posters as in this article. Who CARES what Joan Collins thinks? Her opinion is normally universally ignored, and Jennifer Aniston knows it. The only reason it got anyone's attention this time is that it contained the names "Jennifer Aniston" and "Angelina Jolie". Some people (like Joan Collins) are very savvy about getting free publicity when they themselves are doing absolutely nothing to earn it. Sheesh. I wish people would just get over the JA/AJ squabble. THEY'VE moved one; why can't everyone else?

I know everyone has their own opinion but some people just have worse taste than others. Angelina just looks dirty and trashy and not very well put together and sometimes manly. I find J.Aniston way more attractive..much better body and sense of style.

Sarah, first of all it's biddy not bitty. Secondly, Joan Collins has a right to her opinion and I think the majority of people agree with her. Angelina Jolie is naturally beautiful and Jennifer Anniston is pretty, and she should be since it seems her main concern in life is her appearance, but sometimes when she smiles a certain way she's downright homely.

I think everyone is entitled to their opinion. Joan simply gave hers, but as usual the rags took it out of context. They are milking the whole Angie Jennifer thing for as long as they can. I don't know about anyone else but I am tired of the constant comparasons between Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston. I think JA did the right thing in not commenting on Joan Collins remarks with AJP being the better looking of the two as far as I am concerned. JA will always be the front runner. Joan had every right to say what she said but because she was never as big a star as some of her contemperaries are it got blown out of proportion. Jennifer Aniston had no right to strike back at her. if for example Joanne Woodward with whom Collins is not only friends and has been for more than 50 years but also a former Co-star had same thing Jen wouldn't have been so quick to strike back because Ms Woodward has three things Jen wants and will never have as in a long marriage beautiful children and an academy award. of course some people won't give Woodward the credit for the long marriage because she was Paul Newman's second wife and visibly pregnant when they got married 29th January 1958 which that and his divorce made it so they couldn't get married in a church or synogoue as did the fact she didn't convert to Judeaism from her episocpalian upbringing
