Odd brother out? Two months after the Jonas Brothers made the announcement that they were disbanding, Nick and Joe Jonas performed in Buffalo, N.Y. without their older brother Kevin Jonas.
The duo performed some of the former Disney group’s signature tracks for screaming fans at KISS 98.5 FM’s Kissmas Bash on Thursday, Dec. 12, and their married 26-year-old brother Kevin was nowhere to be found.
Kevin, whose wife Danielle Jonas is pregnant with their first child, remained silent on social media, but on Dec. 13, he posted a picture wearing onesie pajamas with his wife, tweeting, “So this is the theme of tonight’s party….yep this is happening.”
Nick, 21, and Joe, 24, seemed to enjoy their time on stage in Buffalo. The youngest Joe Bro tweeted, “Buffalo you were awesome last night. Thanks!” and middle brother Joe tweeted, “We had a great time last night thank you Buffalo for makin our wildest dreams come true. All of them. #boom.”
The Jonas Brothers initially announced their breakup in October 2013 after canceling their tour.
“There is a deep rift within the band,” their publicist, Jesse Derris, told Us Weekly at the time. “There was a big a disagreement over their music direction.”
Nick explained the decision on Good Morning America in October 2013, saying, “We’re family first and that’s always been our main priority and so honesty within what we do as a group was really important.”
