Why rock the boat? Johnny Depp recently sold his 156-foot luxury yacht because wife Amber Heard refused to climb aboard, an insider reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.

Dubbed the Vajoliroja after his former love of 14 years, Vanessa Paradis, and their kids Lily-Rose, 16, and Jack, 13, the ship, purchased in 2007, was a reminder of the Black Mass lead’s past. “Johnny loved that yacht. But he bought it for Vanessa,” adds the insider. “And Amber is still jealous of her."

The Pirates of the Caribbean star and the French singer never married, and separated in June 2012. Later that month, Depp confirmed he was dating Heard and the couple wed in February this year.

Heard’s rapport with his brood is smoother sailing, though. When Depp’s band, Hollywood Vampires, played a gig at The Roxy in West Hollywood, Calif., on Sept. 17, the model, 29, hung in the DJ booth with Jack.

“She kept saying how great Jack is,” says a second source. “They have a really good relationship and Amber seems like a good stepmom.”

The 52-year-old’s rock supergroup consists of Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, Duff McKagan, and Matt Sorum. During their two-night performance Sept. 16 and 17, the band was joined on stage by surprise guests, including Kesha and Marilyn Manson.
