Julianne Hough just keeps #winning! The bubbly Dancing With the Stars judge took home her first Emmy for Outstanding Choreography on Saturday, Sept. 12, alongside her brother Derek Hough, but her real trophy was on her arm all night — fiance Brooks Laich.
The dancer, 27, and Laich, 32, could hardly keep their hands off each other at the event, smooching and holding hands at what was one of their first red carpet appearances together since they first announced their engagement in August.
Julianne stunned in a red-and-gold sunset-colored Jenny Packham dress, and her Washington Capitals beau rocked a classic black tux and bow tie.
“Congratulations to my incredibly talented and beautiful fiancee @juleshough on winning her first Emmy for Outstanding Choreography,” Brooks captioned a photo on Instagram, in which the couple share ear-to-ear grins, with Hough holding the golden statue. “So proud of you, love you so much!”
In addition to her brother, Derek, 30, Julianne also shared the Emmy with DWTS choreographers Tessandra Chavez and Travis Wall.
“It’s not every day that you get to do something that you love and that you’re passionate about,” she told Us Weekly of her exciting win. “I think everybody in this room tonight is obviously very passionate about what they do. And …on top of that, you get to do that with the people that you love.”
Julianne and Laich announced their engagement via Instagram on Tuesday, Aug. 18, nearly a year and a half after they first began dating in February 2014.
“We are overwhelmed with joy and excitement to share with you our recent engagement!” the Safe Haven actress wrote. “#fiance #love.”
