Kate Gosselin: "I Can't Put My Life Aside and Dance"

Kate Gosselin is zonked.
In an interview taped on Wednesday -- when her ex Jon Gosselin sued for custody of their 8 kids, an exhausted-looking Gosselin admitted that balancing motherhood, Dancing with the Stars and lawsuits is "tough."
"It's very difficult," she tells E! News from an NYC dance studio as partner Tony Dovolani stands by. "I can't put my life aside and dance for six hours a day."

The 35-year-old mom adds: "It's not my lack of ability, but lack of presence. I struggle with this every day. But I have determination."
The reality mom -- whose new TLC show Twist of Kate was announced Thursday -- generally ignores the catty snipes from the judges. "I take the constructive criticism only. I have to feel good about the dance and myself."

"They didn't understand the storyline, but they understand who the paparazzi are," she admitted. But the children don't even see her routine when it airs live. "The kids fall asleep before I get to dance," she says. "One child asked me, 'Can you please dance earlier?'" She adds that "they worry about what I look like. They say Tony looks good. They say I look beautiful."

Dovolani declares to the camera, "I strongly believe in her. The very first words she said on our show was, 'I want to win.' I told her today that I still see the possibility of her winning."

But multiple sources have told Us Weekly that, off camera, Dovolani has had it with his "argumentative" dance partner. "He can't wait to get rid of her, even if it means losing early," a source says in the new issue, out now.
"He doesn't want to be around her unless he has to," another show source insists.

Shirley, agree totally with your post except for one tiny fact. Kate wasn't 'dealt' this life, she freaking 'created' it. Kind of hard to feel sorry for someone who got what they asked for.

Good Grief Kate, a million women have raised 8 or more children before, some in the spotlight and most not, you should take some lessons from Marie Osmond, look at everything that woman has been through and you NEVER hear her belly aching 24/7 about the hand that life has dealt her! Suck it up, you helped make the mess and mockery of your marriage (it takes two) you have got to quit focusing on yourself, and the bellyaching and really make a life for yourself. All we ever hear out of your mouth is "Poor Me", your poor children, if the professionals have to put up with your endless whining, what must your children put up with! OMG, get a life, please and stop making mountains out of molehills and start living, not overdramatizing or aching like the diva and drama queen, it won't be long before your new show gets cancelled and then what, mind your p's and q's lady, you still got those 8 kids to raise, and I don't know how much longer people, any people really want to listen to your belly aching, whinning an poor me stories!
Hi. I am a dance teacher and mom of two boys. I have watched over the years of Kate's and Jon's life and marriage. Let me say this. I am a big fan of Jon. I also like Kate BUT Kate has had to wake up to how real life is. This show is a perfect example of why so many peopel including Jon can not deal with her. Kate as a woman and mom...please calm down and enjoy the ride. I am sure you know very well our kids grow up way to fast and you are even more under the pressure of life. You are famous, seen all over, your kids are known all over the world and everything you do is looked at in a zillion ways. Let the teachers do their jobs. TEACH YOU. You have to let go of being the one in control. This is a huge huge lesson for you let alone a way to just let go. Take your frustrations out on the dance not the teachers. Dance like NOBOY IS WATCHING! Any student of dance will tell you that is a common thread in what we do. Live like nobody is watching too. Even though we are adults we can live like kids once in a while and learn from each other. Don't take all the critisims to heart. It is not an attack on you. The judges are there to do their job. JUDGE. It is hard to hear it I can agree. I have done competitions for years and it never gets easy to hear things you did wrong. Take it with a grain of salt and have some fun. Let your hair down. Dance like you are with your kids. Yes, dancing in this sort of spotlight will take at least 6 hours everyday if not 15. I wish you luck and I for one am rooting for you Kate. Kate's problem is that she has all the answers always. She had them with Jon and now with her dance instructor. Step back Kate and look at the woman in the mirror looking back at you. Get help.
"Jess" has no idea what she's talking about, must of never watched Jon & Kate Plus 8 where KATE SAID.. that SHE asked Jon to stay home & watch the kids when the show was between seasons and while SHE was out doing talk show interviews and on her book tours. JON was the house husband, we only saw Kate with the kids during filming. Jess does sound exactly like Kate. I don't read Tabloids, or even US as its mostly garbage and untruths.. BUT what is is truth and what we who used to be fans have seen is what was on Jon & Kate plus 8. And as Kate and her old crew have said, what you see is what you get.. the only editing was was when they added in white font for what the kids were saying and some goof ups. So we DID see Kate treat her husband like dirt,treat her children like they were a bother at times and treat her guests like crap. Then she has the audacity to complain about how shes"Not allowed to show emotion" well SHE is the one who wanted fame and still courts it..no one to blame but herself.

Really? I didn't know why Jon took her to the doctor but she had strep throat and Kate took off for DWTS instead...wow! I just saw ET from the other day when Jon filed the papers, just happened to be the same day ET was to interview Kate. Kate's eyes were swollen and she looked bad. That's the same look she had when she first went to courtfor her divorce. Why doesn't this witch see that her family is dealing with a divorce and other things and she's off to LA. There was no need to do this show if she knew she can't dance, has 2 shows coming out and a book. Gosh, it gets me even more mad to think what she's doing to her kids...6-5 years olds with no mom, Mady, who is a mini Kate and Cara, whose so sweet but didn't handle the divorce news well. SHAME ON YOU KATE.............and part of that interview shows Kate saying, oh now I can do anything cuz if I can get so much done now with dancing, I can do so much more after the show ends. I'll have 6 hours to get more done. (NOT THOSE EXACT WORKS; NO ONE CALL ME ON IT). Yeah, Kate but I bet those 6 more hours won't be with your kids. You'll be out away from them in another state. I do hope Jon gets more time with them soon. She will be gone on the book tour and away from them for long periods of time. I can't wait for the kids specials cuz I am really worried for those children. Really worried and seeing them back on TV will at least show us how they are. THEY NEED THERAPY and that's where Kate's days should be...helping her children but she of course keeps telling us they are doing fine...HARD TO BELIEVE, KATE, HARD TO BELIEVE!!

To think she was a nurse before the TLC show. How many would want that person taking care of them in a hospital??? I think Jon should get custody; he tried to be famous and failed. Failure can sometimes make someone grow up; at least he took Alexis to the doctor (she had strep throat, Kate called it a cold and let it go...had to go on DWTS!!! So much for the "only taking care of my kids " stuff).
About $5,000/mo in child support would be the norm for 8 children. The median amount per child is about $600/mo. Those kids weren't born with silver spoons in their mouths. Kate could easily make it on that amount of money. However, since it is a percentage of each parents' income that is figured for child support and Jon isn't working right now, Kate should be shouldering the majority of support at this time. Jon should have went for a modification months ago but at least he's doing it now. According to the law, he can't be made to pay more than 55% of his income in support and if he can prove he has less money coming in now, he'll get it lowered.
I don't like Jon but I have to give him credit for living with this arrogant woman so long. She gets worse daily. I think people just like to see her keep failing at everything.She is never satisfied. She is always crying about something. Grow Up..You are a Mom of a tribe. Go home and cry. I hope she breaks her ankle and discovers how profitable disability is. Then she would give up the public life and we would be rid of her.

She says she can't "go back" to being a regular working class stiff, well plenty of people have raised eight children on a regular salary. She is just a selfish b * tch that isn't interested in raising her kids. She just exploits them to make money. She's so hideous on so many levels. And you'd think with as bad a dancer that she is that she could just simply admit that she stinks at dancing, because she does.
This woman is almost worthless. She conceives a brood through invitro and then doesn't want to be with them. What a twit. Get home to your children be a mother. For some reason she thinks that her fame is earned. Without the kids she would be un-educated, uninteresting and just another person on the street. Believe me her fame is fleeting. She stands as much chance of enduring as Heidi (whatever her name is) of being a rock star because of plastic surgery.
