Kate Gosselin Returns Home, Then Leaves Kids Again

Mommy's home ... sort of.
Two days after being booted off Dancing With the Stars, Kate Gosselin returned home Thursday.
Wearing glasses and accompanied by her bodyguard Steve Neild, the reality TV mom, 35, popped by her $1.1 million home in Wernersville, Pa., to spend some time with her eight children.

But she wasn't there for long.
After a 20-minute visit, she packed her suitcase, hopped into a waiting limousine outside and took off with her bodyguard, leaving her kids with a nanny.

She is set to appear on Live with Regis and Kelly Friday. The show tapes in NYC.
Ironically, Gosselin said that now that she's off DWTS, she can spend more time with her kids. "They'll be glad to have me back," she told Entertainment Tonight Tuesday. "I'm thrilled to have been here and obviously going back to my kids is always a wonderful thing."
Gosselin made no mention of her DWTS ousting in a new TLC blog post. The night after her elimination, she claimed she "spent an exciting evening" packing her kids' school lunches using "piles of Ziploc snack bags."

Come on, I think she's a great mother. (Has no rhythm, but GREAT mom). Look how long she has been gone. Would you not think that she was ready to get home to her children?
When I glanced at my recent post, I realized I had left out one word. I had meant to say "more sane"- but realized- that was even hypocritical of me. I retract that. I like that we can express our opinions, but I don't want to judge or name call anyone- including Jon. I will just revise that and say I think he became "misguided" along the way and hope he finds his path back. Those children need both parents.
Sanity prevails! Glad to see women supporting other women out there and not being condemning.
I think its sad and pathetic that so many people,especially women dont have anything better to do or more important things going on in their lives, that they have to sit on here and berate another woman. A woman who is a single mother, who was cheated on and publicly humiliated by a man who acts like a 5 year old. No-one knows what goes on behind closed doors. What you see on tv isnt all of the story. No-one knows what Jon may have said off screen to warrant her behavior on it. For women to berate other women for trying to do what they have to do to take care of their children, especially single mothers who cant rely on the childrens fathers for help, those women should be ashamed of themselves. I'm a single mother of a four year. His father is barely there, we have to live with my parents because having a "real" job as you people call it, as single parent in this day and age doesnt pay the bills! I'd kill to be able to work a few days in a row and then have a few days in a row off with my son and not have to worry about living pay-check to pay-check.
I think the opposite is true. Kate has many more supporters. Networks do extensive marketing before any new show. Jon left to "find his 20's"- despite the fact he was old enough to father eight children. It was all about HIM. I don't care what Kate did or said to him, his behavior and appearance deteriorated to new lows- garnering disrespect from everyone with a moral compass. Kate hasn't been hanging in bars anbd clubs, shacking up with several different men, photo'd with cigarettes dangling from her lips, gotten bloated, fat, pimply and unemployed. She hasn't brought her new boyfriend to their hometown to parade around in her children and Jon's faces. She has gone on exactly as before- giving them some stability. Why isn't some of your anger directed Jon's way? I admire all strong women everywhere. Kate is the only responsible, sane parent these children have. And I am so glad that we Kate supporters can disagree with you without calling you names. Let that be a lesson to you.
As I read these comments, I don't think Kate could have done ANYTHING to appease those set on trying to slander her. When she had short hair, they made fun of it. When she got extensions, they made fun of those. If she smiles too much , she's a phony. When she doesn't smile, she's cold looking. When she's away from her kids, she's a bad mother. When she's with her kids , she's a bad mother. When she cried, she's acting. When she doesn't cry, she's selfish and self-centered. When she was on TV, she was harshly criticized. When the show ended and she moved to other projects, writing, speaking, she was criticized. What do you people want? Do you want to hammer in the nails on her cross? In the end, you will still be you and she will still be Kate. Are you jealous?

How can she be making a good life for her children by being an absentee Mom? She is using her kids as an excuse to justify being a poor parent.She keeps talking about being a single Mom and that she has to work to support her kids. They have a father who pays her child support of $22,000.00 a month. She is working if you can even call it that for the hair extensions and all that plastic surgery which makes her look fake. I am sick and tired of every time she appears on TV that she turns on the tears and that wow is me I am a single Mother routine. I don't get why so many people out there feel sorry for this woman. She does not deserve to have custody of those kids.She is not helping them she is scarring them emotionally. Could we please just pull the plug on her once and for all.

If Kate were a man and having to leave for extented periods of time to work, that would not raise an eyebrow. She appears to be a sole supporting mother. So what gives? Any phychologigal problems, real or immagined are her and her familys problem. Somewone will notice soon enough. So GIVE HER A BREAK!!!!!!

I give Kate an A for effort.That is one hard working lady.Stop hating on her.She is doing all she can to make a good life for her children.Maybe she can't dance but she got out there and gave it all she had and thats all that counts.And maybe she is not spending as much time with the children because she is out there trying to support them.Give her a break!!!
pc...what DWTS show were you watching? She danced terribly; she even admitted it. She said she flew home right after the show on Tuesday but it was another lie...Kate lies all the time.
Those of you who are on here that use such foul language and call people names are what makes young people look so bad. I know you have to be young because anyone with self respect or education wouldn't think of talking like that. You need to get some morals and learn to act like decent people. I have worked with teenagers all of my life and it is so sad to see some of the people on here and then see some of the best kids ever. There are a lot of kids out there volunteering and helping in many ways. I know many wonderful young people and it just breaks my heart to see those that act like jerks.Instead of trying to make fools of yourselves why don't you do something good for people?
Didn't I read that Kate actually only left the kids one day a week for practice and went home every day/night after shooting? Seems like a mom with a JOB to me! I wonder what all you people would say if she were getting welfare and whining about her situation?! Give her a break. I think she did pretty good on Dancing considering she is not an actress or dancer or performer of any kind, never has had any training or performed in front of people. That would be like putting me up there!! Anyway, she's off the show now so everybody can shut up about it.
