Time to groove and watch a few DVDs! Kate Middleton went into labor on Monday, July 22 and checked into the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital shortly thereafter — and, just in case this takes a while, the Duchess (and Prince William beside her) will have some entertainment on hand from her hospital bed!
An observer confirms to Us Weekly that royal officers had a laptop and iPod delivered to the London facility; no doubt, the 31-year-old royals can distract themselves with some tunes, web surfing, and maybe a few DVDs or streaming flicks.
Indeed, the spouses of two years have always had cozy, homebody tendencies — during their life near William's Royal Air Force base in Angelsey, Wales, Middleton would frequently "cook his favorite dinners after he gets home from work . . .or she'll order movies on Amazon for them to watch on the couch." (As for that iPod, one artist on the royal baby playlist just might be "Lights" singer Ellie Goulding, who sang at the couple's April 2011 wedding.)
As of Monday morning in London, imminent grandfather-to-be Prince Charles (at an engagement in York), told reporters he knew "absolutely nothing" in the way of updates. "We're just waiting."
