Middleton's a mensch!

Kate Middleton was swarmed by well wishers and adoring subjects at Buckingham Palace on Monday, where she and Prince William attended a reception in honor of Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee.

Clad in a stunning emerald green dress (a $2,200 number from Mulberry) the Duchess, 29, took time out at the bash to speak with a reporter for an unexpected publication: The Jewish News!

"I would like to thank all your readers for all their wonderful support this year," the royal told the paper. "It's amazing to think the wedding was just seven months ago. So much has happened since then."

(Royal watchers are, of course, curious to hear when Kate might be expecting her first child with William, 29.)

The Jewish News even told the Queen-to-Be about a commemorative poster published the day before her historic April 29 nuptials at Westminster Abbey -- affixed with "Mazeltov!" message of congrats.

Touched by the cute poster, she said, "That sounds like it was a wonderful idea. I hope all your readers put the poster up!"
