Kelly Clarkson: I'm Not a Lesbian!

For years, Kelly Clarkson's sexuality has been called into question. But during an appearance on The View Thursday, the 29-year-old American Idol champ decided to set the record straight once and for all.
"I'm from a small town, so everyone's married with children or about to have children. It's a little hard when you go home and people are like -- and that's why people think I'm gay -- because they're like, 'Why aren't you married?' And I'm like, 'It doesn't happen for everyone right off the bat!'"

The Burleson, Texas, native joked that she sometimes feels like "an old maid" compared to her betrothed buddies.
All kidding aside, Clarkson vowed that she'll never sacrifice her career for a man. "I think it's my purpose, music. I might not want to do this when I'm 50, so I might as well do as much of it now."

"I've dated some cool guys, but I don't know if I've dated someone where I could spend my whole life with them," Clarkson added. "The last date I went on was horrible, so I'd like to go on a good date."

For someone who isn't a lesbian she sure brings it up an awful lot. The more you publicly deny, the more likely it is that you are. I'm not saying she is, but drop the topic.
She's smart! Why jump into marriage? Enjoy life. Then find the right person, gay or straight, and be happy. Ignore DarrenNKim. She seems to think you have to follow a man around kissing the ground behind him in order to be happy.
I do not really understand why this is something to discuss. If she were gay, what's he big deal then? DOesn't change her music or personality, and it is private anyway.
Not everyone wants to be married and have kids. Maybe she is just smart and waiting. Either way I like her, and she is very talented.

Just because she isn't married does not make her a lesbian. Lots of my friends are married and I'm not married yet. I think she'll get married sooner rather than later- prob when she's in her later 30's although when she is deciding to have kids then she might be mad that she hadn't tried to get hitched sooner.
I really like her. I remember when she first started. Great personality and loaded with talent.

Kelly is so down-to-earth. She could be everyone's best friend. She is honest and real. I respect and admire her so much. And her voice is of another world!!!
