Khloe Kardashian believes that her brother, Rob Kardashian, is wasting his life. In an interview with People, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality star said it’s “infuriating” to watch her brother hide.
“Rob is such a great guy," Khloe said of Rob, who lives with her. "He's charming, charismatic, everything. That's what's so infuriating. I'm like, 'Where is your will to live life? Let's be around people!'"
Rob has been battling depression and weight gain for years, and although Khloe has admitted before that she babies him, she adds that at times Rob’s current situation weighs on her.
"I've been working on my patience," she told People. "I've been really trying. But I have my moments and I do snap. I've offered to get a chef, I'm like, 'What's your excuse?' But it's not just that. I can't win life for Rob. I have to wait until [he's] ready to do it for himself. It’s sad, because he’s only wasting his life more and more."
Khloe’s estranged husband Lamar Odom’s absence following their 2013 split also weighed on Rob, who was best friends with the former NBA star, as seen on KUWTK and Khloe & Lamar.
“Lamar was a father figure for Rob,” Khloe told the mag. “My dad died when he was 16. Bruce [now Caitlyn Jenner] was great, but he was going through his own things that none of us understood at the time. Once Lamar left — and it’s not Lamar’s fault at all — I think Rob didn’t know where to go. He was like, ‘I don’t have guidance anymore.’”
As for Odom, who has remained in the hospital since being found unconscious in Nevada on Oct. 13, the reality star says she’ll always support him, but don’t expect a vow renewal anytime soon. “I love Lamar, and I’ll always be there for him like I promised…[the divorce dismissal] does not mean I’m back with Lamar. It’s not even in our brains to think about us having a relationship. Only time will tell. There is a very long road ahead of him, and he has to walk that road by himself. But I’ll be there supporting him every step of the way.”
As exclusively reported by Us Weekly, Khloe is still dating James Harden despite Odom’s current health crisis.
“He’s been great with me,” the Strong Looks Better Naked author told People of the Houston Rockets player. “I’m just allowing everything to unfold. If it’s ever too overwhelming [for him], then I understand that as well.”
