Khloe Kardashian has joined the public outcry against ramped-up, touchy-feely security screenings at airports around the country.

"They basically are just raping you in public," Kardashian, 26, complained Monday on Lopez Tonight.

"I got asked the other day, do you want to go for a screening or get padded down," the reality star said. "I don't want that X-Ray to see everything, honey!"

But the pat-down didn't go so well.

"The people are so aggressive! It's like, 'Chill out, you didn't find anything on me yet, calm down,'" she said. "They say, 'OK, I'm going to be patting you down and I'm going to be touching the crease of your ass.' That is so inappropriate!"

Many non-celebs object to those pat-downs, too. Last month, John Tyner became a viral video star when he videotaped his tense encounter with TSA agents in a San Diego airport. Tyner's now-famous outcry to an agent performing a pat-down: "If you touch my junk, I will have you arrested."

Kudos to Khloe for speaking up! TSA procedures are a direct violation to our privacy. Not only are the scanners harmful, the mandatory "pat-downs" are ridiculous! True, it's not actual rape but the concept is the same. And there have been cases of assault and rape victims opting out of the scanner and being victimized by TSA officials just like everyone else. Questions should be asked to avoid traumatizing these women further! We should also all be asking if this is necessary and why your rights are being taken away. Do some research!!

you have two choices for security at the airport and she chose to go thru the pat down one. if you do not understand the concept of "pat down" then you may want to stick to the machine that looks like an x-ray and no one touches you. it's really not that difficult of a concept unless you do not pay attention to anything other than yourself, which she does. as far as comparing TSA agents pat down to rape - she is STUPID! I would rather have the machines to see what people are carrying on them or be patted down then get on a plane that someone has potentially endangered over 100 people's lives. get use to it - i don't see it going away any time soon.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about this but if they did this to my daughter, I would be outraged and I think it's gone way too far. Unless they do a full on cavity search a crazy person can still get something on a plane. A little common sense here is necessary and I think they really get a kick out of doing this pat down to celebrities. We've gone years without it and been safe - the one thing they found was on a cargo plane so maybe we need to go back to making the baggage a priority and ONLY those that look suspicious.

Wow. Now I've really heard it all from the Kardashian bimbs. Really Khloe -- how can you compare it to being raped? I doubt rape victims would agree with you, since with rape you are truly violated as a person. Those TSA folks are just doing their job, they probably don't get their kicks out of touching your body any more than necessary. So please. Next time, double check with someone else before you speak Khloe.

Exactly how many times has she been rapped to be able to compare the two?

  • December 07, 2010 - 3:44pm Sommer Gentry

I think Khloe has a valid point. Rape is not about sex, it's about taking away your power over your own body. And while what the TSA is doing is not sexy, it is all about abusing power and forcing you to reveal your body and submit to being fondled in a horribly offensive way. Yes, what the TSA is doing is absolutely sexual abuse, and that's why I won't fly while this insanity continues.

I think Khloe is right. If a TSA agent ever touched me inappropriately I would file complaints with that person's supervisor AND the police. Of course, that would be after I got done laughing hysterically; I'm so ticklish that I would most likely bust out laughing the moment one of them even tried to touch the crease of my butt.

if your family died not dies..sorry

  • December 07, 2010 - 3:13pm Danielle Izzo

to compare the two.is ridiculous ..UGH..tsa maybe too far but if your family dies on 9/11 maybe it isn't so bad and ones that go too far should be punished harshly as sAMe as if they are on a plane and cause a riff..

I bet sister kim likes those pat downs, no need for her to go thru the scan, everyones already seen her naked behine

  • December 07, 2010 - 2:55pm Emily Morris

As if the people on the X-ray CARE about seeing you. They are just trying to do their jobs. Ugh.

  • December 07, 2010 - 2:54pm Isabel Lani

this happens for security reasons for all passengers, you dump brat. Buy your own plane or walk, these are working people doing their job also for you, so just SHUT UP!

Gee....has she ever been raped before? I wonder how she feels she can actually compare anything to that. I'm sure all the women out there who have been raped would much rather have had a pat-down by a TSA agent than what actually happened to them. Not to mention, all these people who are up in arms about this.....don't fly if you don't like it. Personally, I feel better knowing that some guy who has an explosive device will have a much much harder time actually getting on the plane with it b/c of this increase in security. Go cry somewhere else.

  • December 07, 2010 - 2:52pm Cassie Brooke Hensler

I fully agree. I'm glad Khloe is speaking out on it. If you're that terrified someone is going to carry a bomb on the plane - STAY HOME! TSA security is a joke and it violates the 4th Amendment.
