The actress, who has been making movies since she was 14 years old, when she won her first starring role in Catch That Kid, is ready to explore other creative outlets and told USA Today about her plans to shake things up.

"I'm taking some time off because I've been working for two years," the 24-year-old actress revealed. "I'm an actor and that's my art form, and because I started that so young, I've always felt intimidated and insufficient when I think about other forms of art I want to create," she explained.

"I'm going to take so much time off. I'm going to buy a live-work space in downtown L.A. and I'm going to make some [stuff] with my hands. Literally, I made that decision a few weeks ago," she continued. "I'm making a short film. I'm making a bunch of stuff. I don't know how I'll put it out. But I'm not going to hold it so preciously close to me. I write all the time."

But while acting won't be Stewart's focus, she insists she won't end up sitting around relaxing during her movie hiatus.

"One thing that will stay with me forever is, I really love work. I love hard work," Robert Pattinson's ex-lover explained.

"I'm somewhat okay with the isolation. At times I realize, that's so not normal. It's weird but it gives me the opportunity to do what I love."
