Football star Kurt Warner fumbled during "Rock Week" on Dancing With the Stars Monday, earning a 22 out of 30 for his paso doble, prompting the audience to start booing.

Asked about the judges' scores, he told UsMagazine.com after the show: "It feels like this has happened a couple times now -- we come out and we perform what we thought was a good dance and then get scores that aren't so good. The thing that's hard is when they make criticism like, 'It just didn't work,' because we don't really know what that means! It's frustrating because it's not constructive, and we don't know what to make of it or how to improve."

Added partner Anna Trebunskaya, "I'm a protective mama bear when it comes to my celebrity students, and I have to add that the audience went nuts and were booing the judges after they gave us our score. That's all I have to say!"

Warner, 39, hopes he doesn't go home on Tuesday's elimination show.

"For us to stay around, we have to get the fan vote and have them support us," he told Us. "So lets hope they do!"

Its hard to say who will go tonight...as long as I played a part in "the situation" going home, it doesn't really matter to me. I like last years cast much better. Kate was a blast to watch, hee hee
