Lindsay Lohan has done her not-so-hard time.

The 25-year-old actress checked into a Los Angeles County jail on at 8:50 p.m. Sunday -- and was out by 1:40 a.m. Monday, the Associated Press reports.

Serving a 30-day sentence related to her most recent probation violation, Lohan was behind bars at the County Regional Detention facility in Lynwood, Calif. for under five hours, thanks to overcrowding.

It was the fifth jail sentence overall for Lohan, arrested twice in 2007 for drunk driving. Judge Stephanie Sautner gave the former Disney star her sentence last Wednesday after she missed 14 out of her 19 court-mandated psychotherapy sessions and canceled 12 of her 20 self-appointed downtown women's center visits.

She will avoid serving an additional 270 days in jail if she performs 12 days of community service at the morgue and attends four psychotherapy sessions before December 14.

The embattled actress, who posed for Playboy last week and later crashed the afterparty for Leonardo DiCaprio's J. Edgar premiere before turning herself in, is not allowed to leave California without her new probation officer's approval (with the exception of holidays).

"From what I can see of you, you need a structure. And this is a structure," Sautner told her Wednesday. "If you do all of this, then by March 29, you just go about your business and you obey all laws."

you have got to be fckn kidding me! how much money do you have to pay to get out of jail for overcrowding? If I did half the shyt she's done I would still be under the jail...wtf?

it is very sad that yes, she is not locked up but as long as the God Forsaken State of California continues to give her breaks; drop felony charges down to a misdemeanors for her benefit and her being entirely aware that it is much CHEAPER for the justice system to do so this sort of behavior from her will either continue until she kills someone or herself or perhaps both. You cannot help a person who does not wish help or does not think that they have a problem there are people out there of this nature it's called being a sociopath having a personality that is anti-social in nature and truly believes that the articles of law simply do not apply to them and each time she is allowed to get away with things it proves to her she is right and we are all wrong.

I wish she would serve a full sentence and get the help needed, she was a talented actress when she first started and in the parent trap playing the double rolls, then Mean Girls although a kid movie it was still good. She used to be drop dead gorgeous, I blame alot on her mother, Dina seems to be partying with Lindsay and not stepping in when her daughter needs her the most, god if my little girl was acting like this I would ensure she spends 30 days in jail, even if it had to be a different jail that wasnt over crowed.

What happened to the Sheriff saying there would DEFINITELY be room for her. If any normal person had done what she's done, we'd be under the jail. She needs to see some consequences for her actions, or her bad behavior will just continue. The girl needs serious help, and not the kind that gets her out of jail, and more than four lousy psych sessions. You can't therapy through a cargo net in four sessions. She's a really sad case, and at the same time, she's put herself in this situation. I'm not even sure she's a problem capable of being fixed anymore.

I wonder what Sheriff Whitmore will have to say when this woman ends up in the morgue? Everyone around her is helping her to death....

    Unbelieveable (smh)

Okay, seriously? She needs to spend the full 30 days, regardless of the over crowding. They know when she goes in that they can't accommodate her, so why do they even bother? The girl cows that when she screws up, IF she can't get out of it, the likelihood of her actually serving her sentence if LOW, so there's no need to stop being a brat that can't keep her nose clean (pun totally intended). Send her to a jail that CAN accommodate her and make her serve the sentence. If she wasn't a "celebrity" she'd have to serve it. I totally think that the LA jail system is bought and paid for by Hollywood because NO celebrity has to serve their full sentence.
