Well, it’s safe to say you won’t be getting a juicy email from Lisa Kudrow anytime soon. During an interview with HuffPost Live, the Friends alum slammed the Sony execs whose choice words about some of Hollywood’s biggest A-listers were leaked.
"How come I know you don't write anything you don't want broadcast in an email? How come I know that? Who's advising [these] people?" Kudrow asked in reference to Sony Entertainment Pictures execs’ hacked email exchanges which, in one thread, described Angelina Jolie as a “minimally talented spoiled brat.”
"It doesn't matter how many times [an email] says 'This is confidential, meant for just between the sender and the recipient,'" the Comeback star added. "Why don't we know that there are no rules? Everything is broadcast and published. That's the part I just don't understand."
Although Kudrow wasn’t a target in the emails, fellow celebs and Hollywood heavyweights like Joel McHale, Jennifer Lawrence, Kevin Hart, and Aaron Sorkin got dissed, while racist remarks were made while discussing movies President Barack Obama may like.
Following the hot mess of a situation, Sony Pictures Entertainment's co-chairwoman Amy Pascal said in a statement: "The content of my emails to Scott were insensitive and inappropriate but are not an accurate reflection of who I am. Although this was a private communication that was stolen, I accept full responsibility for what I wrote and apologize to everyone who was offended."
