Regulation hottie! Lizzy Caplan is engaged to her boyfriend, Tom Riley, her rep confirms to Us Weekly.
The Mean Girls actress, 34, and English actor/producer, 35, ignited rumors of an engagement after looking cuddly during a recent grocery trip in Los Angeles on Friday, July 22. Caplan was spotted walking with her arm wrapped around her new fiancé while sporting a ring on her left hand.
The couple managed to keep their engagement on the down-low for months. According to Caplan’s rep, Riley popped the question this past May while in New York City.
The pair first met in January 2015 in London while Caplan was filming. The newly engaged couple first went public with their romance at the 2016 Prague Opera Ball, where they hit the event hand in hand.
The 127 Hours star has been vocal about wanting kids in the past. Caplan, who previously dated Matthew Perry, told Elle during a 2014 interview that she has “romanticized the idea of a stay-at-home dad” before.
“Partly because I think that's a very sexy thing, but also because if there are two working actors and both of them get a job and they have a baby, the woman is going to stay with the baby,” she explained of her thinking at the time. “I see it all the time. It just seems very unfair."
Her engagement news comes on the heels of Mean Girls’ costar Daniel Franzese’s own proposal to boyfriend Joseph Bradley Phillips earlier this week.
