Back to the homeland.

Michael Jackson would have been 53 years old on Monday, August 29. To mark the occasion, the late pop superstar's kids Prince, 14, Paris, 13 and Blanket, 9, visited Gary, Indiana -- where Michael and his siblings grew up before hitting Hollywood -- over the weekend.

Along with their grandfather Joe Jackson, the orphaned children visited the modest Gary house where their father first lived pre-fame. The home is located on what's now called "Jackson Street" -- and hundreds of fans organized birthday activities leading up to Monday.

Paris told the Associated Press she was thrilled to see so many fans flanking her father's childhood abode during Saturday's visit.

The Jackson brood moved to California in 1969 following the huge success of the Jackson 5. Michael Jackson passed away in June 2009.
