Michelle Duggar: "We Would Welcome" a 20th Baby

19 Kids and Counting mom Michelle Duggar isn't necessarily done bearing children.
During a Tuesday appearance on The Today Show, the TLC reality mom said she and husband Jim Bob "would welcome another" child. "We would do it again in the fact that here we have this precious gift," Michelle, 43, said. "It's a miracle, it really is."

Their 19th daughter Josie was born prematurely, at 25 weeks, last December. She weighed just 1 lb., 6 oz. and suffered a perforated bowel eight days after her birth and spent two extended stints in the hospital.

On Tuesday's episode of the show, the on-the-mend little girl leaves the hospital after a second, two-month stay.

"The joy of just knowing that Josie felt so much better, that she was bigger and doing so good [made me feel] like this was the time and we were going to make this one go," says Michelle, who brought her baby home from the hospital on supplemental oxygen and had her heart rate monitored.

People should stop calling this family "disgusting" or "stupid." There are plenty of parents with two children where the older child raises the younger, and there are plenty of parents that do not raise their ONLY child and leave it at the mercy of the world. So long as those scenarios exist, no one has a right to complain about two loving parents having a large, helpful, polite, loving family. The Duggars are truly blessed and LOVE their children. I do not believe that anyone who sees children as disgusting can love their children, so people should think before they speak.
Michelle, I am so impressed by the love and patience you show. You are a remarkably beautiful woman. Children are a blessing. Ignore the people who seem to be so narrowminded that they can't seem to grasp the idea of a family living the way God intended. I applaud you for keeping your children "from the world". What I can see your children seem very well rounded, happy, and intelligent. I am impressed and think that you and your husband could write a book. You keep a cleaner happier home with 19 children than most people can with 2.
These people are TOTAL IDIOTS!!! They claim to love children but have no concept of what they have just put that new baby through because the mother has run out of healthy reproductive time. They aren't smart enough to STOP!!! Are they going to put another infant through a life and death situation just so that they can be FAMOUS?!??!!? They have the mentality of teenagers!!!!!!
i say someone should call cps on this family..there all weird she homeschools them and they keep the kids from the world..and they hae a child with downsyndrom or some form of a dissabilty thay is gonna take allot of care and she wants more.
i think the duggars are absolutely disgusting! there is no reason to have that many children! they are obviously crazy! they both are mental cases if they think popping out another child brings them closer to â??godâ??. and maybe if the parents could actually be responsible parents and take care of THEIR children, not the siblings being parents. in these economical times one or two kids is enough to handle. i hope the older kids use birth control and choose not to follow their parents footsteps. this is a disgrace. they wonder why their last child was premature???? maybe that was a â??signâ?? from god!!!!!!

Hey Quiverf**k (Michelle), I don't give a rat's ass about being jealous over your jurisdiction. It's a frickin' misused word, you know. I don't even care that you're pushy to put your older daughters at risk. Why can't they have real friends other siblings-as-friends?
It's funny that they allow God to determine the number of children they have but when He's about to take them or Michelle away then science is allowed to take over. In the past people let nature take it's course, live or die, no one intervened to keep them alive.
If Michelle dies, JimBob will simply marry another brainless womb (God will tell him to) and have another 20 children....he's a selfish PIG.
Take those Duggars to a spay/neuter clinic ASAP.
How can Jimbob really care about Michelle if he allows her to have yet another baby when she could have died during her last pregnancy. Doesn't the fact that the poor baby suffered great pain with a perforated bowel as well as with other medical issues. How can risk this again? Can't Michelle think for herself and realize her children need a mother, not cameras following them around and other siblings caring for them. How about Jimbob and Michelle volunteering to help others with all of the money they are raking in with their tv show, books and videos. Maybe that would be the Christian thing to do rather then purchases such as buying bus a block long to haul the family from one tourist attraction to the next for the benefit of their tv show. How about sending their children to school? The children need to be children, not loosing their childhood being parents to their parents children. Jimboob and Michelle are the most selfish, self serving people I have ever seen. Their children should be taken from them and placed in homes with loving parents, go to school, play sports and be allowed to think for themselves. I'm so sick of these child horders.
I hate to even go there, but maybe Jim Bob is having to deal with 18, while Michelle deals with 1 in preparation of Jim Bob having to deal with them all if Michelle dies in childbirth. Jim Bob can keep popping them out at no detriment to his own health. It seems like he doesn't care one iota if he causes Michelle to meet her creator in the process.

" So and so had two dozen kids is a tiresome excuse. Large families were the norm because of no birth control and the hoped some survived infancy. no one mentions the health of the women. Margaret Sanger watched her mother die from 11 births and 18 pregnancies. She thought women needed more control over their bodies.These extreme Christians are trying to take the right away. I hope it doesn't to come to refusing women birth control in the future like once before because a few think it is wrong.They twist scripture around to suit their needs.'God' also gave you brain to use.
To Michelle and Jimbob, I saw the seri-es where the Doctors finally learning what the problem little Josie having. I am very very happy for that and I wish you, Josie, Jimbob and everybody all the best.
