“You shouldn’t look her in the eye,” the first lady joked while discussing her friendship with the “Sorry” singer.

“She’s a special person. She’s a sweetheart. She’s smart, she’s creative, a great mother, she loves her family,” Obama said of the Grammy winner, who is mom of daughter Blue Ivy, 4, with husband Jay Z. “She’s just a low-key lady. We have a lot in common in that way, except I can’t sing, I can’t dance — not like Beyoncé.”

The pair have been friends for years. Back in 2012, Beyoncé penned a heartfelt letter addressed to FLOTUS, published on her website.

“Every time I see her, she inspires me, she empowers me, she encourages me to live a healthy lifestyle,” Beyoncé, 35, wrote. “I’m proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to.”

Obama repaid the compliments, tweeting at Beyoncé at the time: “Thank you for the beautiful letter and for being a role model who kids everywhere can look up to.”

She also wished Beyoncé a happy birthday last September with a sweet tweet.

“Happy birthday to the one and only, Queen 🐝! Thank you for being a role model for young girls around the world, @Beyonce. -mo,” Michelle, who is married to President Barack Obama, tweeted.
