Update: Cyrus Family "Deeply Saddened" by Death of Driver in Tour Bus Crash

A tour bus carrying the concert production crew of singer Miley Cyrus overturned in Virginia on Friday morning -- reportedly killing driver Bill Douglas. Nine others suffered minor injuries.

The Associated Press reports that Cyrus, 16, was not on board the bus when it flipped on Interstate 85, about 40 miles south of Richmond.

According to TMZ, the bus involved was part of a 4-vehicle caravan and included 14 passengers.

The bus apparently drifted off the road -- which was particularly wet from overnight rains. Authorities are not yet releasing the identities of those injured.
UPDATE: The Cyrus family has released the following statement to Usmagazine.com:
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of Bill "Uncle Bill" Douglas. Members of our tour are like members of our family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family in the midst of this tragedy. He will truly be missed."

Thanl goodness Miley wasn't aboard the bus, although I am very sad that Bill had a tragix ending. He was very loyal to Miley and her family by being their driver. So let's all pray he paid the right price with the angels.
