Miley Cyrus will return for a fourth season of Hannah Montana, The Disney Channel announced Monday. "Miley and the producers have proposed a change of setting for Season Four that will provide the catalyst for wonderful new characters and further expand the storytelling opportunities," reads a statement.

Production on the show's current third season ends this week; shooting will resume early next year. Disney had been debating whether to continue the show for a fourth season.

"I don't know if I would do another film," Cyrus said in March, "but I would love to do another [TV] season. That would be what we would all agree on." At Sunday's MTV Movie Awards, Cyrus — who picked up the award for Best Song for "The Climb" — told Usmagazine.com she will spending her summer shooting a movie that Notebook author Nicholas Sparks wrote especially for her.

"I'm working on The Last Song, so I'll be on location," she told Us.
