President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama touched down in London on Monday -- and, on Tuesday, met with the brand-new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge!

Days after arriving home from their ten-day honeymoon in the Seychelles, Prince William, 28, and Kate, 29, happily greeted Barack, 49, and Michelle, 47, in Buckingham Palace.

Britain's royal couple were sporting golden tans, naturally, from their luxurious private-island retreat off the east coast of Africa, where they went scuba diving, hung out on the beach and enjoyed a private butler among many other amenities. Chatting with the First Lady, Duchess Kate particularly glowed in a tan, form-fitting dress by Reiss Shola which retails for $340.

Upon their first arrival at the Palace late Monday, the Obamas were greeted by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip, who gave them a private tour of the premises. In a rare honor, the President and First Lady were then given a 41-gun salute by Scots Guards in red jackets, who also played the Star-Spangled Banner. A longer 61-gun salute at the Tower of London was also heard throughout the city.

America's first couple will reside for two nights a six-room suite -- last used by William and Kate on their wedding night.

Ana you are wrong when you say that Catherine is now "Princess Catherine." She will never be "Princess Catherine" as this is a title given only to women born as princesses. When Charles ascends the throne, William will officially become "Prince of Wales" and Catherine will be "Princess William of Wales" but she will never be formally, "Princess Catherine." Informally, she will probably called that, just like Diana was "Princess Diana." You need to do your homework about formal titles prior to accusing others that they are "wrong."
Heather, have you heard about protocol? I didn't say whether it's right or wrong, I just said that when you meet the Queen, you are advised by her entourage not to touch her or talk to her. You are supposed to wait for her to speak to you first or shake your hand. Every one knows that. Next time you have the chance, notice how celebrities behave in front of the Queen. I didn't make these rules, I'm just saying that's how it works.And by the way, you CAN touch a saint! Once again, it's not that the Queen is not human, it's just protocol. And Sheila, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but Catherine is no longer a commoner and she will never be one again! She IS a Princess, whether you like it or not; it's not about you or me agreeing or not. The fact is that when a woman marries a Prince, commoner or aristocrat, she immediately becomes a princess, at the moment she signs at her wedding. What most people don't understand is that royals may have more than one title. In this case, Catherine is Princess Catherine and Duchess of Cambridge. You should see how many titles Prince Felipe and Letizia of Spain have. You would be surprised.
Catherine looks great, a little too thin, but very classy. Michelle Obama..what were you thinking??..her outfit is the worst yet..she has looked much better then this before.

Kate is not a princess. She can never be one because she is a commoner. Her title is Duchess. The First Lady looked ok in her clothes in this picture. Stop hating folks.

I agree with the comment about Michelle Obama's clothing. Who the heck advises her on what to wear? I actually love her bare arms look, but must say that I am not a fan of the various jackets and cardigans that she uses to cover them, most times. (And I hated the unflattering, heavy outfit she wore at the Inauguration.)

@ Marva and Rene, there isn't anything wrong with Michelle's dress or the way she looks!! Look at yourselves!! Both of you can't even begin to talk about what someone else is wearing! Did anyone remind / teach Michelle Obama that she is NOT supposed to touch the Queen? It was a terrible "Faux pas" and I hope she doesn't do it again. Everyone was commenting this mistake by M. Obama; The Queen only touched her in return so she wouldn't feel bad. At the time, Americans pretended this was not important, but it was. Mrs. Obama must do her homework. And by the way, you say Duchess of Cambridge or Princess Catherine, but for God's sake you DO NOT say Duchess Kate or Princess William.
The economic crisis, the excuse for which the Obama's went to Europe, is rooted in America. It seems that this is just another pathetic attempt to boost ratings by standing in the shadows of others. If Obama needs to communicate with foreign leaders, how about teleconferencing and instead of playing golf and visiting his century old sperm donors, how about taking the time to visit a homeless shelter here? How about getting Congress to allocate funds for the hydrogen car, rather than the hybrid, which uses gasoline? And if he is so gung ho about being there in person, why didn't he go with the Navy SEALs team so that he could give the order to execute bin Laden in person? Now that would have been a Kodak moment.
Also the Duchess needs to gain a few pounds. She's thin to the point of unhealthy. I hope she doesn't go down the route of Princess Di...
