Her Best Looks Ever! From J. Crew dresses to Jason Wu gowns, the First Lady is an undeniable style icon.
The glam mother of two wore a bright floral-patterned dress by Duro Oloqu with matching orange and purple heels to an August screening of The Powerbroker: Whitney Young's Fight for Civil Rights. Along with her colorful outfit? Red and blonde highlights framing her face for a trendier, more youthful look.
The First Lady looked right at home in the White House wearing a sleeveless blue dress by Jason Wu on the April 2013 cover of fashion's bible. “I always say that women should wear whatever makes them feel good about themselves. That’s what I always try to do," she said.
Mrs. Obama was ravishing in a custom ruby chiffon and velvet gown by Wu at the January 2013 inaugural ball in Washington, D.C., held to usher in her husband's second term in office. The First Lady accessorized her gown with a handmade diamond embellished ring by Kimberly McDonald, and shoes by Jimmy Choo.
Looking on as her husband took his oath of office in January 2013, the First Lady -- showing off her new bangs -- covered up in a coat and dress designed by Browne. "She's such a strong woman," the designer told The New York Times of Obama. "I wanted her to feel good in it and to feel comfortable, strong, feminine and beautiful."
Belle of the ball! The First Lady chose a teal Marchesa off-the-shoulder gown for the White House State Dinner in March 2012, which she accessorized with a necklace made from strands of teal, blue, silver and white pearls layered over a giant rhinestone piece. "I love the addition of texture with the Tom Binns necklace," Roksanda Ilincic, who dressed Obama for the evening, said at the time of Obama, who added rhinestone earrings to complete her look.
