Soap opera star Nathaniel Marston is currently in critical condition after a serious car accident in Reno, Nev., on Friday, Oct. 30. The actor, 40, who played Michael McBain on One Life to Live for six years, could potentially be paralyzed from the neck down following the accident.
His mother, Elizabeth Jackson, posted about the incident on her Facebook page.
“Please pray for my son Nathaniel Marston,” she began in her post on Saturday. “He was in a car accident last night and is in the intensive care on life support. Back and neck broken in several places.Other internal injuries.Please pray that he will recover and walk again.”
Jackson also gave an update saying that cops reported Marston was sober at the time of his crash, adding, “Please pray that Nate does not end up a parapalegic..neck broken and fracuted in neck vertabrea 3,4,5,6, and 7. Shoulder broken along with all ribs.Collapsed lung and pnenoma. Please please pray for him.”
And after speaking with her son’s doctor on Sunday, she gave a grave update, writing, “Spoke to Nates Dr. In all likely hood if he lives he will be paralyzed from the neck down and will not breathe without a ventilator machine.Oh my God please give me strength.”
Marston also played Eddie Silva on the soap As the World Turns until 1999 and had guest roles on hit shows like Law & Order: SVU, White Collar, Castle, and Blue Bloods.
