Gisele Bundchen visited Africa earlier this year and while there, she made sure to spend some quality time with larger-than-life animals.

"When I went to Africa I discovered that elephants are one of the smartest and most complex mammals on earth. If we don't protect them, they can be extinguished," she wrote along with the pic.

Bundchen's brush with wildlife occurred in January, when she embarked on a five-day long trip to Kenya as part of her duty as a UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme) Goodwill Ambassador.
