She's only been in New York for a few days, but Pippa Middleton is already hanging out with Manhattan's elite!
The British party planner, 28, introduced herself to Gossip Girl actor Chace Crawford, 27, at hip hotspot Electric Room inside the Dream Downtown September 3. "They didn't party together but they spoke for 10 minutes," an insider tells Us Weekly exclusively. "They had never met before but Chace has met Prince Harry a couple times."
Though both stars are single, the source tells Us "there were no numbers exchanged" between Duchess Kate's sister and Crawford. (The actor is in the midst of shooting Gossip Girl's sixth and final season, which premieres October 8 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.)
On September 1, Middleton was spotted dining at another NYC hotspot, Catch, where she and two friends shared a bottle of white wine and enjoyed chef Hung Huynh's rice cakes, crispy shrimp, catch roll, hellfire roll, salmon carpaccio and scallop dumplings.
The following day, Middleton -- who is in the United States to attend publisher meetings, according to a source -- spent time with wealthy hotelier Andre Balazs, 55, in Shelter Island, New York. Wearing a white top and red pants, a barefoot Middleton played ping pong and dined at local restaurant Sunset Beach with Balazs and a handful of friends.
Middleton "didn't have security" and "was very low-key" during her nearly two-hour meal, fellow diner and MTV Canada host Aliya Jasmine Sovani told Us. "She got really embarrassed when some people recognized her while she was in line [for the restroom]. She actually turned bright red!"
