Royal good deeds! Princes William and Harry are hard at work rescuing civilians and working with kids this week.

William, who is expecting his first child with wife Kate Middleton, had an eventful day on Tuesday, Feb. 26 as operational captain in the Royal Air Force Search and Rescue Force. The 30-year-old dad-to-be, known on the job as Flight Lieutenant Wales, flew his Sea King helicopter in freezing conditions to Snowdonia, North Wales to rescue two walkers.

According to a local report, the couple was forced to spend a night after venturing onto the Glyder range and not being able to get back off. Ten members of Ogwen Valley mountain rescue team eventually found the stranded couple. William was then called from his base at RAF Valley in Anglesey to rescue them.

“The helicopter came about 1am to search the mountain which was quite difficult with patches of low cloud,” Chris Lloyd of Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue, said. “Flying in the mountains at night with banks of low cloud requires great skill.”
